painting vs. photography

I recently decided that it was time to make a photography blog. It seems a bit silly to keep putting photographs on a paintings blog, don't you think.

Please, check it out, and check it often! I'm sort of cheating on painting with photography these days, so it will be updated frequently.

polaroids

I have not been painting quite as often lately because I have been taking a lot of photos of the spring (see my other blog http://linepainterj.blogspot.com/ to check some of the photos out), as well as fooling around with polaroids. Here are some photos of the polaroids, more to follow soon.

Italian nostalgia

I've been missing Italy in a terrible sort of way, so I've been doing watercolors of her and drifting off into them while I paint.

Emily Jay Painting website!

Please feel free to take a peek at my new "grown up artist" website. I've spent the past few weeks on it. You can view my "After the Goldrush" series, my "Seasons of Mist" series, as well as work I did on life in Italy, my batik, and art books.

Of course comments and suggestions are welcome! Thank you xoxox
